1 ENVELOPE TACO SEASONING MIX
1 C SHREDDED CHEDDAR OR MONTEREY JACK CHEESE

DICED TOMATO
SHREDDED LETTUCE

PREHEAT BROILER TO HIGH. PLACE BREAD HALVES ON A LINED BAKING SHEET. IN A LARGE SKILLET BROWN GROUND BEEF. DRAIN ANY EXCESS GREASE. ADD ONION AND PEPPERS. SAUTÉ UNTIL GREEN PEPPERS ARE SOFTENED. ADD BEANS, TACO SEASONING MIX. SIMMER FOR 5-6 MINUTES. PLACE HALF OF BEEF MIXTURE ON EACH HALF OF BREAD. TOP WITH CHEESE AND PLACE UNDER BROILER FOR 4-5 MINUTES OR UNTIL CHEESE MELTS. ADD ANY DESIRED OPTIONAL INGREDIENTS AND SERVE.
