1 C BUTTER, SOFTENED
1 C PACKED BROWN SUGAR
2 EGGS
2 TSP VANILLA EXTRACT
1 1/4 C ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
1/2 TSP BAKING POWDER
1 TSP SALT
3 C OATMEAL
1 C CHOPPED WALNUTS OR PECANS
1 C CHOCOLATE CHIPS
PREHEAT OVEN TO 350. IN A LARGE BOWL CREAM TOGETHER BUTTE, SUGAR. ADD EGGS, ONE AT A TIME AND THEN ADD VANILLA. BEAT UNTIL BLENDED WELL. IN ANOTHER BOWL ADD FLOUR, BAKING POWDER, SALT, OATMEAL, NUTS AND CHOCOLATE CHIPS. ADD WET MIXTURE TO DRY AND BLEND COMPLETELY. DROP BY ROUNDED SPOONFULLS ONTO A PARCHMENT LINED COOKIE SHEET. BAKE FOR 14-18 MINUTES UNTIL GOLDEN. ALLOW TO COOK AND SERVE.
