1- 2/3 cup flour ¾ cup butter, softened
1-2/3 cup yellow corn meal ¾ cup sugar
4 tsp. baking powder 3 eggs
½ tsp. salt 2 cups milk
Combine flour, cornmeal, baking powder and salt; set aside. Cream the butter and sugar in bowl until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Add cornmeal mixture alternately with milk, mixing well after each addition. Bake at 425 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or until knife comes out clean.
